This Scriptural Calendar study focuses on the fulfillment of the Falling Away, the Apostasy, that the Apostle Paul wrote about in 2 Thessalonians 2.
Most Christians apply the ‘falling away‘ to the end times, and they believe that it won’t happen to them.
What if I told you that the ‘falling away‘ occurred in the 4th century,
and the result of it probably shapes your beliefs today?
Before the man of sin, the son of perdition, the office of the Popes of Rome, came to power in 538 A.D., the Bishops were already at work in the Roman Empire.
Today the Roman Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church and the Protestant Churches, express their faith in what is called The Nicene Creed.
At the first council at Nicaea in 325 A.D, Roman Emperor Constantine began to create the religion of ‘Christianity’, based on their Roman pagan worship rituals.
Below is a brief explanation of the changes that Emperor Constantine and the Bishops of Rome made, which oppose the Holy Scriptures.
They serve to steal glory and honor away from the Father, and they cause the followers of the Messiah to be out of covenant with Him.
You will see how today’s Christian churches are still following these changes today, and so they are steeped in the Babylonian religion without knowing it.
They banned people from observing the seven Holy Feast Days, which our Messiah is fulfilling to redeem us, which His followers should still observe. The Feast of Trumpets has not been fulfilled yet and it represents His return, so it’s important to know.
And they created the pagan-based holidays of Easter and Christmas, to replace them.
They banned the followers of Christ from observing the 7th day Sabbath rest, which marks us as followers of the Messiah.
And they created The Lord’s Day of worship on SUNday, which honors the god “ba’al”.
Friend, you can discount that list and say that God knows your heart; but the Scriptures warn us:
“You must not worship Yahuah your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things Yahuah hates.” Deuteronomy 12:31
Saturday Sabbath followers correctly point out that Emperor Constantine changed the Sabbath to Sunday, in the 4th century; and that the Roman Catholic Church claims the authority to dictate a Sunday Lord’s Day.
But what they fail to understand is that Constantine did not change it from Saturday to Sunday, as the Jews and Christians did not observe it on Saturday.
What he did was forbid Jews and the Early Church from following the luni-solar calendar, which resets the calendar each month based on the 29 1/2 day lunar cycle, which caused the day that the Sabbath was observed on to change every month.
Constantine forced them to observe a Solar-based calendar, which featured a repeating cycle of 7 days; or be subject to death.
And there was a great falling away from Scriptural truths, as believers compromised with Rome, after many years of being persecuted by the Roman Empire.
But the believers in Messiah were not the only ones who apostatized…
In 358 A.D., Sanhedrin patriarch Hillell II compromised with Rome when he provided a mathematically-based calendar that would harmonize with the Roman Sun-based calendar, while appearing to still be based on the luni-solar Biblical roots.
In order to reduce persecution by Rome, the Jews exchanged Biblical lunar Sabbaths for the popularized Roman unbroken-cycle-of seven day weeks. This causes their Sabbaths to be out of sync with the New Moons, and with the holy appointed Feast Days.
Since then, Jewish leaders have developed “Rules of Postponement” to make sure that while following the Roman calendar, that certain Holy Days are not adjacent to the Saturday Sabbath.
But their “Rules of Postponement” are not Scriptural, which confirms that the Rabbis are not using the Scriptural Calendar for the seventh day Sabbath!
In this study series you will learn that many things that we’ve learned from Jewish Rabbis is wrong, such as when the Biblical month/year start and when a day begins.
To prove that Saturday cannot be the weekly Sabbath, one simply has to read about Aviv 10, when the Passover Lamb was to be purchased; Aviv 14 which is a preparation day for the first day of Unleavened Bread, and Aviv 16, on which the barley could be harvested.
The true Biblical Sabbath CANNOT be on Saturday (or any fixed day on the Roman calendar), as the Scriptures command Israelites to work on Aviv 10, Aviv 14 and Aviv 16; all of which fall on Saturday every few years.
Also, the Roman calendar had 8 days per week during Messiah’s life, with days that were named after letters of the alphabet. When they started the 7-day calendar later that century, Saturday was the 1st day of the week, not the last. It did not become the last day until the 4th century.
When the Protestant Reformers led people out of the bondage of the Roman Catholic Church, they didn’t come out far enough.
They didn’t revert back to Scriptural truths about the Biblical calendar and the seven Holy Feasts
Christians since the Reformation haven’t really focused on the importance of the Scriptural calendar and the Holy Feast Days.
And no doubt the Jesuits of Rome, who have infiltrated most denominations, seminaries and Bible schools; have caused people to ignore them, to assign them to the Old Testament law and to cause people believe that they are for the Jews only.
But during the last few years, I have witnessed many people returning to the ancient path, to the truth about the Scriptural calendar, and the importance of the Father’s Holy Feast Days.
I believe that the Spirit is moving in these last days to prepare the set-apart ones of the end times, for the return of Messiah.

The Early Church continued to observe the Holy Feasts, so Satan caused Emperor Constantine to ban them.
To make the switch from observing Elohim’s Holy Feast Days to pagan-based holidays, Constantine issued this creed for Christians who would partner with Rome.
Keep in mind that during the previous centuries the followers of Messiah had endured relentless persecution from Rome, and now they are being exalted to positions of power and treated well, so they are susceptible to compromise.
In 366 A.D. at the Council of Laodicea, the Sabbath was abolished and replaced with Sunday worship. The bishop of Rome authoritatively confers the name of Lord’s day upon Sunday.
Canon 29 – Christians must not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day honoring rather the Lord’s day by resting, if possible, as Christians. However if any shall be found judaizing, let them be anathema for Christ (Mansi, II, pp. 569-570, see also Hefele Councils, Vol. 2, b. 6)
“I renounce all customs, rites, legalisms, unleavened breads and sacrifices of lambs of the Hebrews, and all the other feasts of the Hebrews, sacrifices, prayers, aspirations, purifications, sanctifications, and propitiations, and fasts and new moons, and Sabbaths, and superstitions, and hymns and chants, and observances and synagogues.
Absolutely everything Jewish, every Law, rite and custom and if afterwards I shall wish to deny and return to Jewish superstition, or shall be found eating with Jews, or feasting with them, or secretly conversing and condemning the Christian religion instead of openly confuting them and condemning their vain faith, then let the trembling of Cain and the leprosy of Gehazi cleave to me, as well as the legal punishments to which I acknowledge myself liable.
And may I be an anathema in the world to come, and may my soul be set down with Satan and the devils.” (Stefano Assemani, Acta Sanctorium Martyrum Orientalium at Occidentalium, Vol. 1, Rome 1748, page 105)
Furthermore, any follower of the “Jewish Messiah” who wished to join this “holy community” was compelled to adopt a different set of rules and customs. Subsequently special creeds were drafted, to which the saints would have to swear such as:
“I accept all customs, rites, legalism, and feasts of the Romans, sacrifices. Prayers, purifications with water, sanctifications by Pontificus Maximus (high priests of Rome), propitiations, and feasts, and the New Sabbath “Sol dei” (day of the Sun, ), all new chants and observances, and all the foods and drinks of the Romans. In other words, I absolutely accept everything Roman, every new law, rite and custom, of Rome, and the New Roman Religion.”
During the 4th century many saints accepted these terms from Constantine and compromised their faith, fulfilling the “falling away” that Paul warned about in 2 Thessalonians 2.
